Fine
Dentistry and Prevention:
This type of dentistry is dedicated to achieving
optimal health and optimum repair of the oral health system. A thorough
examination is completed and goal-setting is instituted to create a
Master Plan that has as its goal maximum protection and preservation
of the oral health complex. Crucial to the continuation of optimal health
are good daily oral hygiene habits and a strict regime of professional
examinations and cleanings to prevent decay and gum disease.
- Maintenance
Dentistry:
The quality of care is good and preventive measures are fairly effective,
but the patient is not dedicated to achieving optimum repair. Optimum
repair of the natural teeth has as its goal the restoration of teeth
to ideal beauty, function, comfort, and longevity. Usually maintenance
dentistry is intermediate dentistry such as silver and plastic fillings,
which last three to five years. Maintenance dentistry is removable partial
dentures rather than fixed or stationary bridgework.
- Repair-Oriented
Practice:
No long-term thought is given to either prevention of decay, gum disease,
or bite (occlusion) problems. Teeth are filled as they break and when
gums bleed badly enough that the patients have their teeth cleaned.
This represents 70 percent of the dental practices in the United States
today. The interesting thing about the patients who go to this type
of practice is that they don't like it, but have more or less given
up on dentistry and what it can do for them.
- Emergency
Practice:
Patients are seen only for emergency treatment. The majority of patients
in this type of practice lose their teeth—usually between the
ages of 35-50, depending on their heredity.
- Please
note that I draw the line between Maintenance and Repair-Type dentistry. We
have absolutely no interest in being drill, fill and bill practice,
or an emergency only practice.
- In
order for us to fulfill our practice philosophy, we believe we must
provide a worthwhile service for people we value and respect.
- We
believe in establishing long-term relationships built on freedom
of choice, mutual respect, value for each other.
- Restorative
Dentistry:
Patients suffer many problems because of inadequately planned and executed
dental treatment. Restorative dentistry is that branch of dentistry
that takes into consideration all the needs, wants, and values of you—the
patient—and designs one best treatment plan that will fulfill
your needs and goals.
- Cosmetic
Dentistry:
Dentistry is rapidly moving forward in the areas of Implant Dentistry
and Cosmetics. New and innovative procedures and techniques are available
today that were unheard of just five years ago. New materials and techniques
now enable us to literally transform smiles, enhance self-image, and
create self-esteem. Career-making dentistry is now available today which
was previously only available to movie stars.
- Questions:
Our staff members are well trained and dedicated to make a difference
for each and every person we are privileged to serve. No question is
too small or insignificant for us to answer.
